MIKE PLOOG JOINS STEVE GERBER IN A GIANT-SIZE MASTERWORKS OF MARVEL SWAMP ACTION!

A rotten swamp monster never looked so good! Artist Mike Ploog joins writer Steve Gerber and they’ll have you turning pages to shuffle through the muck and loving every second of it. Gerber’s stories continue to expand the strange world surrounding the Man-Thing and the people, both helpful (Richard Rory) and hateful (F.A. Schist), who have been drawn into the monster’s orbit. Of course, there’s also top-notch, good ol’ fashioned fighting. Who wouldn’t want to see the Man-Thing and the Glob swinging fists? Do they even have fists? It doesn’t matter, it’s comic book perfection. Meanwhile, the Foolkiller debuts and Man-Thing is hauled to New York City where Reed Richards is left to wonder is there still a man inside the mire?

Werewolf by Wolfman? That’s right, the man born to write Werewolf by Night—Marv Wolfman—takes the writing reins on Marvel’s moon-cursed monster in this Masterworks. Together with artists Gil Kane and Mike Ploog, he’ll expand the mythos and mystery surrounding Jack Russell and his family’s connection to the demonic Darkhold. Wolfman brings Dracula into the mix and introduces the mystifying Topaz, a woman who will soon have our hero’s heart. Meanwhile, the Committee’s schemes escalate as Mike Friedrich takes the podium and Don Perlin becomes series artist. They’ll introduce another werewolf to vex, or perhaps aid, Jack Russell. Also featuring the Werewolf vs. Werewoman as Greer Nelson becomes Tigra for the first time and iconic series writer Doug Moench’s debut!

GHOST RIDER TEAMS WITH DAREDEVIL, THE CHAMPIONS AND THE THING!

Marvel’s hell-bound super hero, Ghost Rider, hits the road for a second Marvel Masterworks edition. His adventures begin with the return of Zodiac, an organized crime gang powered by the agents of hell, in a plot that can only be foiled with the help of the super-heroic Stunt-Master. After fighting for his soul against Satan himself, Ghost Rider finds himself teamed up with the ever-loving Thing, in mortal combat against the ever-angry Hulk and in league with the ever-courageous Champions! And if you thought the Orb was finis, Marvel’s deadliest eyeball returns to extract another pound of Ghost Rider flesh! Plus: With Karen Page in Ghost Rider’s cast, Daredevil makes the scene in a crossover classic drawn by John Byrne!

Peter Parker and Dr. Curt Connors (a.k.a. the Lizard) have always shared a unique bond. Both men of science, but one was gifted with powers while the other was cursed. Only together can these sometimes allies, sometimes adversaries survive the unstoppable Iguana. Then, in a two-part Annual extravaganza, comes Doc Ock! All the while, Peter’s increasingly on edge. The bizarre horror of the Swarm and a battle with Morbius, the Living Vampire, do little to help. Then, the emergence of the Schizoid Man pushes him over the line. And on the other side is the Spider-Lizard! Can our mutated hero survive? He’d better, or he won’t be able to team up with the FF against the Frightful Four!

Marvel’s bulletproof man is back! The Marvel Masterworks proudly present the evolution of the Hero for Hire into his new identity, Power Man. It’s a series of iconic Luke Cage classics featuring the first appearance of Cottonmouth, Cage’s evolving relationship with Claire Temple and action galore! Cage goes toe to toe with Iron Man, battles the villain Power Man for the right to the name and hits the road to uncover the secrets of Security City. Also featuring the debut of Bill Foster as Giant-Man and the one and only Piranha Jones. With stories and art by comic book greats — Wein, Isabella, McGregor, Tuska, Wilson, Pérez and more — these are the stories that defined the Marvel and Netflix icon.

Englehart, Buscema and Robbins bring you one of the most influential Captain America sagas of all time in the latest Marvel Masterworks. Disillusioned by government corruption and the revelations behind the Secret Empire, Steve Rogers renounces his role as Captain America. The Falcon fights on while Rogers wrestles with his place in the world, becoming Nomad, a man without a country. In his new identity, he must overcome the power of Madame Hydra and the mystical Serpent Crown. Then, the return of the Red Skull forces our hero to make a choice with the Falcon’s life hanging in the balance. Rounded out by adversaries including Nightshade, the Druid and Doctor Faustus, these are the stories defined Captain America for a generation!
