Including a rare Marvel Super-Heroes story for a complete accounting of Blaze’s original adventures.

The Marvel Masterworks proudly present the finale of the Ghost Rider series that burned through pages for a decade and made the demon biker an icon. In this volume, series artist Bob Budiansky is joined by then-up-and-coming and now-lengendary writer J.M. DeMatteis. They’ll make Johnny Blaze’s struggle to contain the vengeance-obsessed demon as compelling as ever with adversaries like the stunning Steel Wind. The true test comes when Asmodeus compels Mephisto to split Blaze and Zarathos. It’s pedal to the metal from there as Zarathos’ origin is revealed and Roxanne Simpson returns, setting up a final showdown that will prove the high cost of vengeance. Also featuring two rare Ghost Rider What If? tales and an encounter with the Defenders.

MARVEL’S PREMIER 80s ANTHOLOGY COLLECTED COMPLETE FOR THE FIRST TIME!

• Featuring stories and art by the greatest talents in the comics industry!
• The Marvel Fanfare Omnibus will collect the series in complete form for the first time ever.
• With work by Frank Miller (Daredevil, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), George Pérez (The Infinity Gauntlet) and Mike Mignola (Hellboy) Marvel Fanfare has top-tier art and wide audience appeal.
• Marvel Fanfare featured innovative art and production methods that will look better than ever in this painstakingly restored Omnibus.

In 1982, the comics industry was making rapid advances. The door to higher-quality, prestige titles had been opened and Marvel Fanfare planted the flag, declaring it the place to be seen. The series gave industry’s greatest creators — like Frank Miller, Barry Windsor-Smith, Chris Claremont and Michael Golden — a chance to make singular statements on Marvel icons like Captain America, the Thing and Spider-Man. New talents like Mike Mignola and Charles Vess could take their shot for an issue and gain break-out success. And groundbreaking talents like Bill Sienkiewicz could steal the scene with a gallery of pinups that redefined characters in a single image. Marvel Fanfare also boasted beautiful, fully-painted stories and cutting-edge new innovations in coloring. Each issue was a bounty of artistic excellence and a statement on the future of comics. Marvel is proud to collect the complete Marvel Fanfare in this first of three Omnibus volumes.

EVERYONE LOVES A PARADE IN HULK MASTERWORKS VOL. 18!

Bruce Banner has lived the waking nightmare of being the Incredible Hulk for years, but what if his gamma-powered other self wasn’t an unhinged engine of destruction? What the if man controlled the monster? Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema explore a new world where it’s mind over monster for Marvel’s green goliath, a world where Bruce Banner’s mind dominates the Hulk. It opens surprising new opportunities for comics’ most tormented psychological pair. Yet, despite Banner’s new control, the power of the Hulk’s rage may still burst out with more fury than ever. It’s a saga that ends on the doorstep of the White House, but who will be there to meet the President? Banner the man, or Hulk the monster?

Making sure the transition goes from strength to strength, the incomparable Klaus Janson remains aboard for a stint penciling, inking and coloring. It’s a saga that teams DD with Wolverine and takes him to Japan for an issue #200 rematch with the man who murdered Elektra.
STEVE GERBER’S OMEGA THE UNKNOWN IS THE 350TH MARVEL MASTERWORKS!

In the 1970s, Steve Gerber revolutionized comics. His innovative work on Man-Thing, The Defenders and Howard the Duck opened creative avenues that excited readers and inspired a generation of creators. So, when Marvel announced an all-new character co-created by Gerber, anticipation was fever pitch. Omega the Unknown debuted in late 1975. It featured an enigmatic approach to one of the most compelling stories: the stranger in a strange land. Jean-Michael Starling, a boy with a mysterious past, holds a curious connection to the super-powered being Omega. Their quest to understand the gritty world of New York City’s reveals as much about us as it does them. As their secrets are revealed and the action unfolds in the Marvel manner, you’ll come to understand why Omega holds a place as one of the most influential series of its time.

In Japan, Glenn Talbot faces a dramatic reckoning, after which Hulk gets his passport stamped on Easter Island by Absorbing Man! In a pair of Hulk-sized Annuals, Rick Leonardi joins Mantlo to fuse Bruce Banner with the cosmic power of Captain Universe, and Hulk battles the Avengers—plus Frank Miller’s first Marvel story!
BILL MANTLO AND SAL BUSCEMA KICK OFF AN INCREDIBLE RUN OF HULK STORIES!

The Masterworks rampage into the incredible Bill Mantlo era of Hulk! Mantlo’s five-year run redefined comics greenest meanest goliath. It kicks off when the Hulk from unleashes his rage on Gamma Base. By the time the dust settles, Hulk is exiled to Jarella’s world where he crosses paths with the cosmic Gardener, an owner of an Infinity Gem. Then, it’s back to Earth for a chilling fight against Jack Frost in a tale drawn by the legendary Steve Ditko. A double-sized 250th issue features a team-up and tussle with the Silver Surfer, after which it’s a “Trial by Monster” as Hulk finds himself in the middle of a civil war between monster men. The indelible art of Sal Buscema makes page after page a Marvel Masterwork!

As if that’s not drama enough, Thor faces a gauntlet of foes in Zaniac, the Dark Man and the Scarlet Scarab, plus a one-on-one with Darkoth—with Mephisto lurking in the background! And who are Grult and the Menagerie of Rimthursar? This Masterworks edition also includes a double-sized Annual extravaganza pitting Thor and the gods against the Demogorge, and “Sea of Destiny,” a tale beautifully rendered by master illustrator John Bolton.
