MARVEL’S PREMIER 80s ANTHOLOGY COLLECTED COMPLETE FOR THE FIRST TIME!

• Featuring stories and art by the greatest talents in the comics industry!
• The Marvel Fanfare Omnibus will collect the series in complete form for the first time ever.
• With work by Frank Miller (Daredevil, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns), George Pérez (The Infinity Gauntlet) and Mike Mignola (Hellboy) Marvel Fanfare has top-tier art and wide audience appeal.
• Marvel Fanfare featured innovative art and production methods that will look better than ever in this painstakingly restored Omnibus.

In 1982, the comics industry was making rapid advances. The door to higher-quality, prestige titles had been opened and Marvel Fanfare planted the flag, declaring it the place to be seen. The series gave industry’s greatest creators — like Frank Miller, Barry Windsor-Smith, Chris Claremont and Michael Golden — a chance to make singular statements on Marvel icons like Captain America, the Thing and Spider-Man. New talents like Mike Mignola and Charles Vess could take their shot for an issue and gain break-out success. And groundbreaking talents like Bill Sienkiewicz could steal the scene with a gallery of pinups that redefined characters in a single image. Marvel Fanfare also boasted beautiful, fully-painted stories and cutting-edge new innovations in coloring. Each issue was a bounty of artistic excellence and a statement on the future of comics. Marvel is proud to collect the complete Marvel Fanfare in this first of three Omnibus volumes.

THE VISION AND SCARLET WITCH JOIN FORCES IN THEIR VERY OWN MARVEL MASTERWORKS!

The Marvel Masterworks are proud to present a massive volume collecting the adventures of the Avengers icons — Vision and the Scarlet Witch. We’re including not just the massive 1985 maxiseries that went on to inspire WandaVision, but also rare never-before-reprinted stories that chronicle the couples’ search for acceptance. With rich storytelling and vibrant artwork, these stories explore themes of love, duty and identity, showcasing the enduring bond between two iconic characters. The Vision’s origins are explored, while the Scarlet Witch expands her powers in new and sometimes shocking ways. Wanda’s brother Quicksilver’s prejudice risks splitting their family apart. Will his choices set him on a dark path? And with Wanda’s mystic pregnancy nearing term what will Magneto’s return mean for the mother-to-be?

Certifiably the World’s Greatest Comic Collaboration, the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby Fantastic Four run stands as one of the high-water marks in the history of the medium. Their ten titanic years together laid the foundation of the Marvel Universe, and birthed more concepts and characters than any series before or since! There’s plenty of explosive action and family drama as Stan and Jack’s run comes to a close: the FF help mankind take one giant leap when the Kree’s robot Sentry tries to stop the Apollo 11 moon landing, encounter the uncanny Inhumans, and celebrate their 100th issue featuring everyone from Dr. Doom to Dragon Man! And finally, the mutant menace Magneto teams up with Namor in a bid to conquer the world! ‘Nuff said!

Benjamin J. Grimm, the world’s one and only Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Thing, doesn’t shy away from any fight. And in this Marvel Masterworks edition, he’ll have to plow through the Machinesmith, the hated Yancy Street Gang, Graviton, Crossfire and even his younger self! These battles pair him with Jack of Hearts, Doctor Strange, the Inhumans, Moon Knight and the Marvel Universe’s greatest poker club. It’s all prelude to Gruenwald, Macchio, Byrne and Pérez’s all-time classic — the Project PEGASUS Saga. The Project is part advanced energy research, part super villain prison, and that makes for one dangerous (and exciting!) combination when the inmates break out! Also featuring a Thing/Torch team-up and the incorrigible Impossible Man’s attack on the Marvel Bullpen!

IT’S A SUMMER ’17 SPIDEY SPECTACULAR WITH A BRAND NEW #1 MASTERWORKS!

Spider-Man’s not just amazing, he’s spectacular, and Marvel is proud to usher in The Spectacular Spider-Man as the Marvel Masterworks’ 250th volume! In 1976, Spidey notched his second solo series under the direction of Gerry Conway and Sal Buscema. With his first live-action series on the horizon, the world wanted to know just who this Peter Parker guy was. Spectacular not only expanded opportunities for web-slinging wonder, but it also provided a platform to expand upon and explore the world of Spidey’s incomparable cast—J. Jonah Jameson, Mary Jane Watson, Flash Thompson and more. Of course, there was no shortage of villains—including the Vulture and Morbius—or iconic guest stars—ranging from the White Tiger to the Inhumans.

All Johnny Storm’s hot-rod racing, the Thing’s demon bashing, Sue’s dalliances with Namor and Reed’s soul-searching culminate in a massive five-part saga that pits the FF against their nemesis in the series’ greatest tradition! Who is Doom’s son? How does he have the FF’s powers? It’s a fight to the finish in Latveria.
