The exploits of the Fantastic Four’s ever-lovin’ blue-eyed Thing have always been defined by finding the biggest bad guy available and walloping the heck out of him. But the stories that open the penultimate Marvel Two-In-One Masterworks take a more urgent tone as the Thing races to find anyone and everyone who can save his compatriot Giant-Man from the ravages of cancer. It’s a moving saga that reveals the heart of the FF’s gruffest member. The Thing will also give you a dose of the action you crave, battling micro-sized gladiators alongside Ant-Man, slinging suds (and knuckles) with Sandman and even seeing if he can help Machine Man and Jocasta put a dent in Ultron’s adamantium exterior.

FEBRUARY 1964: MARVEL INTRODUCES A MAN WITHOUT FEAR!

Marvel is proud to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Daredevil with an Omnibus collecting every Marvel comic released in the month of his February 1964 debut! DD presented a rougher, gritter take on the super hero with young Matt Murdock growing up on the wrong side of the tracks with a father on the hook with the mob. Stan Lee and Bill Everett crafted a brilliant blend of crime, action and super heroics that has built the foundation for one of Marvel’s greatest characters. But what else was happening in that historic month? Well, Marvel boasted a wonderfully engaging mix romance, teen humor, Westerns and, of course, the growing stable of increasingly interconnected Marvel super heroes! Take a trip back to the spinner rack and relive them all in the Marvel: February 1964 Omnibus!

At the same time they were making history on X-Men, Chris Claremont and John Byrne were pairing Spider-Man with some of the coolest and catchiest characters in the Marvel firmament! But first, this volume kicks off with one of the earliest appearances of the all-new, all-different X-Men revival in the first Marvel Team-Up Annual, by Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema! Mantlo concludes his sterling run with a two-parter drawn by Byrne, as the Hulk and Spidey square off against Woodgod—whose rare first appearance is also included in this volume! When Byrne links up with Claremont, the duo begin a white-hot run that teams Spidey with Yellowjacket, the Wasp, Human Torch, Iron Fist and the Daughters of the Dragon!

SIMON & KIRBY’S VISION JOINS THE MARVEL MYSTERY CREW IN GOLDEN AGE MARVEL COMICS OMNIBUS VOL. 2!

In 1939, MARVEL COMICS launched the revolution that is Marvel today. The title’s first year was a mix of pulp adventure seeded with the first sparks of the colorful heroes to come. But in its second year, MARVEL MYSTERY COMICS (as it was rechristened) followed the fiery path of the Human Torch and the aquatic Sub-Mariner with super heroes galore. Those trailblazers were joined by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby’s Vision, the all-American Patriot and the joyously wild robot Electro. Backed up by boy sleuth Terry Vance, the pre-comics jungle king Ka-Zar and the noir adventurer the Angel, it was 64 pages of nonstop Golden Age action. Experience each rare issue, complete in this painstakingly restored, oversized Omnibus edition.

THE FIRST 12 ISSUES OF MARVEL COMICS – RESTORED TO LOOK BETTER THAN EVER!

In September 1939 a new voice hit the newsstands and changed the comic-book world forever—Marvel Comics #1, with it’s blazing Human Torch cover, had arrived! And this 64-page pulp package wasn’t your typical assortment of super-powered, straight-laced, do-gooders, this was something new.

The Human Torch, the amazing android creation of Dr. Phineas Horton, was neither man, nor hero, he was a blazing force of nature that shocked mankind. Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner, the half-human/half-underwater dweller ventures into the world of man not with a mind towards peace, but towards vengeance! These two characters would form the foundation for the style of conflicted hero that defines Marvel to this day, and you’ll see them evolve across twelve full issues from their raw forms into the battling fire and water mega-hits of the Golden Age!

They’re flanked by an eclectic set born out of the fast-paced energy and imagination of the Golden Age including the heroic Angel; the wild and incomparable robot invention, Electro; the hard-edged detective, the Ferret; Terry Vance the boy adventurer; the Western Masked Raider; and the ongoing jungle adventures of Ka-Zar the Great.

Featuring an extensive essay on Marvel’s pulp magazine pre-history, publisher Martin Goodman and the birth of Marvel Comics by noted historian Will Murray, and topped off with special bonus features including original artwork and items never seen since 1939, this collection forms the cornerstone of Marvel history essential for every comic book fan, collector and historian!

Benjamin J. Grimm, the world’s one and only Ever-Lovin’ Blue-Eyed Thing, doesn’t shy away from any fight. And in this Marvel Masterworks edition, he’ll have to plow through the Machinesmith, the hated Yancy Street Gang, Graviton, Crossfire and even his younger self! These battles pair him with Jack of Hearts, Doctor Strange, the Inhumans, Moon Knight and the Marvel Universe’s greatest poker club. It’s all prelude to Gruenwald, Macchio, Byrne and Pérez’s all-time classic — the Project PEGASUS Saga. The Project is part advanced energy research, part super villain prison, and that makes for one dangerous (and exciting!) combination when the inmates break out! Also featuring a Thing/Torch team-up and the incorrigible Impossible Man’s attack on the Marvel Bullpen!

MORE SPIDEY (AND TORCH!) TEAM-UPS IN A SWINGING ’70s MARVEL TEAM-UP MASTERWORKS!

No one in the Marvel Universe knows how to make friends…and enemies…and frenemies…like the Amazing Spider-Man! And he’s going to add to the ranks of all three, beginning with an Iron Fist kung fu clash. Then, Nighthawk, Valkyrie and Doctor Strange join in the battle against Jeremiah and his Church of Blood. Never wanting to leave a corner of Marveldom unexplored, the monsters are unleashed with Man-Wolf, Frankenstein’s Monster and the Beast. We’re even including Spidey’s Giant-Size adventures with (or is it against?) the Punisher and the Man-Thing. Meanwhile, the Human Torch takes MTU’s headline spot in a battle of fire and brimstone and the Big Man and Sons of the Tiger close out another Masterworks extravaganza!

The Lady Dorma is dead and the Sub-Mariner is on a rampage that will leave a swath of destruction across the surface world. But in his pursuit of vengeance Namor learns that his father–the long thought dead Capt. Leonard MacKenzie–is still alive! In the quest to find his father, Namor will cross paths with Spider-Man, Daredevil and the Human Torch before he faces a gathering of his greatest enemies–Llyra, Tiger Shark and Sting-Ray–while his father’s life hangs in the balance! If that’s not enough, next three of the Marvel Universe’s fiercest personalities—Namor, Dr. Doom and M.O.D.O.K.—battle each other for the Cosmic Cube. With art by the great Gene Colan, need we say more? Reserve your copy today!
