THE INCREDIBLE HULK SMASHES THE LEADER, M.O.D.O.K. AND QUASIMODO!

Bruce Banner has overcome his angry other half and become the Intelligent Hulk, but will the combination of brains and brawn prove to be better than a good ol’ “Hulk smash!”? Bill Mantlo and Sal Buscema will find out for us as they begin to explore the potential of comics’ man-monster’s many personalities. And who could be a better adversary for the Intelligent Hulk than the big-brained Leader? The Leader’s machinations will pull the Avengers into the fray and team Hulk and She-Hulk for the first time. Then, Hulk will be ripped through time by Kang the Conqueror and go to war with M.O.D.O.K. and a resurgent A.I.M. Topping it off is a rare comic adaptation of 1982 Incredible Hulk animated series.

Yup, it’s just another day for Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man! Writer/artist Al Milgrom spins a series of wonderful web-slinging adventures in the run up to Spectacular Spider-Man #100. He introduces new villains in the Lee/Ditko mold like the Answer and the Spot and (literally) resurrects classic characters like Silvermane as a killer cyborg! The Kingpin’s the man pulling the strings throughout. Will his leverage on the Black Cat mean Spidey won’t see issue #101? Also featuring an Annual exploring Aunt May’s younger days and the rare Spider-Man installment of Questprobe. Co-starring Cloak & Dagger!

STEVE GERBER’S OMEGA THE UNKNOWN IS THE 350TH MARVEL MASTERWORKS!

In the 1970s, Steve Gerber revolutionized comics. His innovative work on Man-Thing, The Defenders and Howard the Duck opened creative avenues that excited readers and inspired a generation of creators. So, when Marvel announced an all-new character co-created by Gerber, anticipation was fever pitch. Omega the Unknown debuted in late 1975. It featured an enigmatic approach to one of the most compelling stories: the stranger in a strange land. Jean-Michael Starling, a boy with a mysterious past, holds a curious connection to the super-powered being Omega. Their quest to understand the gritty world of New York City’s reveals as much about us as it does them. As their secrets are revealed and the action unfolds in the Marvel manner, you’ll come to understand why Omega holds a place as one of the most influential series of its time.

Relationships are tricky, even for gods. As Alan Zelenetz begins his rare run scribing Thor, the son of Odin faces challenges from cosmic-powered adversaries to the pains of love. Can Lady Sif assimilate into life on Midgard with Dr. Don Blake? Thor’s complicated relationship becomes even more so with the arrival of Count Dracula! Will Sif be the Lord of Vampires’ latest to victim turned to an undead existence of bloodsucking? And how will the return of Jane Foster complicate things? It’s a love triangle, Asgardian-style. Plus: an Annual gorgeously drawn by Bob Hall, a never before reprinted Thor graphic novel and a host of material from the fan-favorite Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.

GHOST RIDER IS BACK AND HE’S GOT WEREWOLF BY NIGHT WITH HIM!

The Marvel Masterworks are the highway to hell with the original demon biker, the Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! In our fifth installment of Ghost Rider classics—restored and reprinted in color for the first time ever—the supernatural side of the Marvel Universe is coming out of the dark: The spirit of big rig trucker Clem Barstow does not share the road. Meanwhile, the first appearance of Asmodeus might mean the last appearance for GR! The Tatterdemalion mixes it up with Werewolf by Night, and then Moondark casts a spell that brings in the cavalry with the Night Rider. And, no, your eyes are not playing tricks on you: The Orb is back!

The last of three Omnibus volumes collecting the complete original Marvel Kull comics kicks off with an early ’80s Spider-Man/King Kull team-up against the threat of Ju-Lak and the Serpent Cult! Then, a new solo Kull series begins with a run of double-sized color comics by some of the best artists of the decade. Kull the Conqueror featured a bruising dose of art from Big John Buscema, but it also featured takes on the warrior-monarch of Valusia from luminaries John Bolton, Charles Vess, Butch Guice and Bill Sienkiewicz. The ’80s era of Kull concludes with the stunning graphic novel Kull: The Vale of Shadow by Alan Zelenetz and Tony DeZuniga.

MARVEL CLOSES OUT ITS SOFTCOVER MASTERWORKS WITH THE ROY THOMAS AND GIL KANE’S WARLOCK!

In 1972, Marvel Comics marched into a new era — an era in which super heroes increasingly reflected the world’s turmoil and social unrest. And the hero for that era was the newly christened Adam Warlock! The character previously known as “Him” with the sublime Soul Gem was launched on a wild ride across the cosmos to Counter-Earth. Hastened by the High Evolutionary to become the savior of this parallel planet, Warlock must rally humanity against the evil of the Man-Beast!

IRON MAN MEETS THE DEMON IN THE BOTTLE!

Many have lent their talents to The Invincible Iron Man, but few—if any—have had a greater impact than the creative trio of David Michelinie, Bob Layton and John Romita Jr. has. They remade Iron Man with new co-stars—including Jim Rhodes, the future War Machine—and new armors, but more important than anything else, a new, character-defining take on the man inside the armor. Their Tony Stark is a hero not because of the extent of his technological wizardry, but because of his perseverance in the face of his own personal failings. This beautifully restored Marvel Masterworks edition presents the beginning of the reinvention of a Marvel icon, culminating in the classic “Demon in a Bottle.”
