The classic 1973 Ghost Rider series is reprinted in full with this Marvel Masterworks volume!

Including a rare Marvel Super-Heroes story for a complete accounting of Blaze’s original adventures.

The Marvel Masterworks proudly present the finale of the Ghost Rider series that burned through pages for a decade and made the demon biker an icon. In this volume, series artist Bob Budiansky is joined by then-up-and-coming and now-lengendary writer J.M. DeMatteis. They’ll make Johnny Blaze’s struggle to contain the vengeance-obsessed demon as compelling as ever with adversaries like the stunning Steel Wind. The true test comes when Asmodeus compels Mephisto to split Blaze and Zarathos. It’s pedal to the metal from there as Zarathos’ origin is revealed and Roxanne Simpson returns, setting up a final showdown that will prove the high cost of vengeance. Also featuring two rare Ghost Rider What If? tales and an encounter with the Defenders.

CLOAK, DAGGER AND BLACK CAT JOIN IN A SEVENTH SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN MASTERWORKS!

Spider-Man’s adventures have been larger than life, but they spring from the rotten roots of street crime with Uncle Ben’s murder by a petty burglar. That gritty side of the criminal world takes the fore as the Kingpin tightens his grip on New York City. Spidey’s not just faced with fighting villains. Cloak and Dagger complicate matters and the Punisher has his own form of justice in mind. Meanwhile, Mantlo and Milgrom explore the man ink on his fingers and a story in this blood, J. Jonah Jameson, and reveal the origins of the Hobgoblin. Speaking of revelations, Peter Parker reveals that he is Spider-Man to the Black Cat—with unexpected results! Also featuring Black Cat’s search for superpowers, Spidey’s black costume and Fred Hembeck!

INTRODUCING SILVER SABLE IN AMAZING SPIDER-MAN MASTERWORKS!

Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz’s fan-favorite run on The Amazing Spider-Man continues! As a creative team, they were cooking and making it look easy. These classic stories will show you how it’s done. First, make that new costume an alien and have it want take over your life! Then, add in the introduction of the mercenary Silver Sable, a little bit of Kingpin, some conflict between Peter and Aunt May. Next, send a former herald of Galactus on a mission to pound Peter Parker into pulp. It’s a fight that defines the never-say-die attitude that makes Spidey a hero for the ages. Viola! Marvel Masterworks one and all! Also featuring the Amazing Spider-Kid, Frog-Man and the Toad and a host of bonus material!

ROGER STERN WRAPS UP HIS SPECTACULAR RUN AND BILL MANTLO INTRODUCES CLOAK AND DAGGER!

Roger Stern’s seminal run on Spectacular Spider-Man concludes and Bill Mantlo returns for a second fan favorite stint! After a run-in with the Jack O’ Lantern, Spider-Man must protect Marla Madison (scientist and J. Jonah Jameson’s one true love) from the deadly Will O’ the Wisp. The Ringer menaces Spidey’s world in a tale drawn by John Byrne, setting up a double-sized issue featuring Stern’s retelling of Spidey’s origin. Then, Bill Mantlo comes aboard, pitting Spidey against a cavalcade of his deadliest rogues: Kraven, Electro and the Molten Man! And in one of the most timeless tales of Spectacular history, teen-runaways-turned-heroes Cloak and Dagger make their first appearance! Plus: An Annual that takes Spidey to the “Dark Side of the Moon” with Man-Wolf!

The God of Thunder needs all the help he can get against the Bi-Beast. Enter: Iron Man! Then, it’s a Man-Beast/Man-Thing showdown with Thor in the middle. Loki conspires to pit his half-brother against the stone men of Easter Island and the great dragon Fafnir. As if that’s not drama enough, Thor faces a gauntlet of foes in Zaniac, the Dark Man and the Scarlet Scarab, plus a one-on-one with Darkoth—with Mephisto lurking in the background! And who are Grult and the Menagerie of Rimthursar? This Masterworks edition also includes a double-sized Annual extravaganza pitting Thor and the gods against the Demogorge, and “Sea of Destiny,” a tale beautifully rendered by master illustrator John Bolton.

HANK PYM HITS ROCK BOTTOM, VISION AND SCARLET WITCH ENJOY THE SUBURBS, AND BLACK KNIGHT RETURNS!

Avengers storytelling doesn’t get much more dramatic than the tales in this Marvel Masterworks as Yellowjacket reaches rock bottom. Meanwhile, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes join the Defenders to take on Nebula, and ally with Drax the Destroyer in battle against—Thor and Moondragon?!? Two new members join the team (spoiler: it’s She-Hulk and Hawkeye!), and the blustery bowman gets right into the action in a classic team-up with Scott Lang, the Ant-Man, against the Taskmaster! And the Black Knight shows up for a stirring two-part tale. Capping off this volume is the miniseries Vision and Scarlet Witch. Vizh and Wanda’s attempts at suburban bliss are rocked by deep revelations including the identity of Wanda’s true father!
