As noted in our previous article on the matter, Marvel is bringing Fantastic Four Omnibus Vol. 2 HC back to print in 2021, and they’re taking advantage of their newly organized library of film and photostats to restore countless pages of what many believe is the most significant run of comics in Marvel history. The third printing of FF Omnibus Vol. 2 collects Fantastic Four #31-60 and Annuals #2-4, and includes a ridiculous amount of high-water marks in FF and Marvel history: The origin of Doctor Doom; the first appearance of Dragon Man; the assembling of the Frightful Four with Medusa in her first appearance; an epic two-parter that teams Daredevil with the FF against Doom; the long-awaited wedding of Reed Richards and Susan Storm with a “cast of thousands” in attendance; the introduction of the Inhumans – Crystal, Gorgon, Triton, Karnak, King Black Bolt and, of course, Queen Medusa; the “Galactus Trilogy”, which debuted not only Galactus but his herald, the Silver Surfer; the first appearance of Black Panther, King of Wakanda; a showdown with Klaw, the Murderous Master of Sound; the return of the Golden Age Human Torch, Jim Hammond; and a four-part series that saw Doctor Doom seize the board of the Silver Surfer! On top of the stories, the book is rounded out with several essays from noted comics historians and creators about the signal achievement of this era of Lee/Kirby’s FF, plus bonus materials from the era, including a full run of cover art from the reprint comics of yesterday that collected this material.

Due in July of 2021, the FOC (Final Order Cutoff) of Fantastic Four Omnibus Vol. 2 HC is February 22. To see book information and an extensive gallery of preview art, click the link below!
